Research at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital revealed that eating two or more servings of fish each week can lower the risk of hearing loss by 20 percent. Nearly every type of fish was included in the study, from shellfish to tuna. The research showed a connection between Omega-3 fatty acids in the fish and increased blood flow to the inner ear. Eating more fish at age 50 and beyond will help to protect the inner ear and maintain your hearing.
